Medical Students
We are proud to be actively involved in the training of future generations of doctors. We teach medical students from all years of Cardiff University School of Medicine. They may, with your consent, sit in with the GP during your consultations. You have the right to decline to see students. Please let reception know, at the time of booking, if you do not wish to see them and we will ensure that you are offered alternative appointments.
Occasionally we may telephone you to ask if students can visit you at home to discuss your condition(s). Again you have the right to decline if you do not feel this is appropriate for you. Please be assured that should you not want to see students then this will not in any way affect the treatment or care we give you.
We completely understand that there may be instances where you do not wish a student to be present during your consultation with the GP. We would ask that you make us aware of your preference not to have students present by informing the Reception staff on arrival.
